3. Battery Back-UPS Status Codes and Beeping Indicators.
3.1. Battery Backup Units (UPS) provide backup power and protect systems from power surges
or failures.
3.2. Below are common status indicators and what the beeping patterns typically mean:
Beep Pattern | Meaning |
| One short beep every 10–30 seconds | UPS is on battery power due to a power outage. |
| Rapid beeping (every 0.5 sec) | Battery is low, shutdown is imminent. |
| Continuous tone | UPS is overloaded – reduce the load. |
| 4 beeps every 30 seconds | UPS is running normally on battery during an extended outage. |
| Single beep when turning on/off | UPS is starting up or running a self-test. |
| No beeps, green light flashing | UPS is in standby or not delivering power. |
| Constant beeping or red light | Battery or system fault – replace battery or service required. |
