In order to avoid a repetitive user setup in multiple locations with redemption kiosks, the following steps are recmmended:
Do only once:
1. Create a new portal user for kiosk purposes going to Admin -> Users & Permissions -> Users:
2. Do not assign any roles or locations API User set to "yes". Type the Secret Key and click on "Save User":
Do for every (new) location:
From the Portal:
- Set User Permission:
1. From the users list, click the Permissions "+" sign:
2. Expand the desired location tree and the Admin branch. Check option "Admin - ELAPI EasyLinx API User":
Remote into the Location:
1. Create the kiosk record going to Kiosk -> GeWeTe Cash Center / ELA EPI Kiosk -> Management:
2. Create a new kiosk, set the machine ID, secret key and ledger to be used:
It takes less than 5 minutes for the location (site controller) to receive the user from the portal (propagation) after you check the permission box.
The only additional task you will have in each location (site controller), is to create the Kiosk entry, specifying the same secret key and ledger for the same user.
