Objective:
This document will guide you through the different general and special permissions each user can get in the system.
General Permissions
- Slots/Stations (gives access to the "Slots/Stations" module)
- Front Desk (gives access to the "Front Desk" module)
- Accounting (gives access to the "Accounting" module)
- Cashier (gives access to the "Cashier" module)
- Tables (gives access to the "Tables" module)
- Ticket Kiosk (gives access to the "Ticket Kiosk" module)
- Countroom (gives access to the "Countroom" module)
- Players (gives access to the "Players" module)
- Marketing (gives access to the "Marketing" module)
- Management (gives access to the "Management" module)
- Admin (gives access to the "Admin" module and all others)
They are considered general permissions. Each of them means a module of the system. If the user of the system has "Players" permission, the user will have access to the Players module and it's features.
Special User Permissions
The system also has the option to give special user permissions. Here the list of all special user permissions available:

Some general permissions have special user permissions (Cashier, Management, Marketing, Players, Slots and Tables). This is a great feature to avoid the user to access specific features of the module.
General modules that are not listed above doesn't have their special user permissions. This means that if the user receive a general permission, such as Accounting, the user will have access to all features available on this module, and will not be able to give specific access for minor features inside the Accounting module.
Examples
Example 1:
The user is a cashier, and receive the general permissions called "Cashier". However, the admin would like to avoid the permission of reprinting cashable and promotional tickets. For this reason, the admin will not include the special user permissions "Reprint Cashable Tickets" and "Reprint Promotional Tickets".
Example 2:
The user is a manager, however, admin would like to maintain the reports unavailable for the manager. For this reason, the special user permission "Management - Reports" is not given to the manager user. This way, manager can access all features of the Management Module, except reports.
Practical Examples:
Now, we will guide you through the steps (with screenshots) of creating a new user and setting up it's general and special user permissions. Example will be considering a manager that shouldn't have access to the numbers (reports), however, the manager will be able to execute cashier tasks. ** Remember that only Admins can create users **
1. Go to "Admin" -> "Users & Permissions" -> "Users":
2. Select "Add new User":
3. Fulfill the required information:
4. After saving the user, click on the "Key" icon, of the user created:
5. A popup will appear to select the general permissions for this user:
As mentioned before, this user will be a manager, but without access to reports. The following general permissions should be added. Admin can remove general permissions if not required (Ticket Kiosk, Tables, Countroom).
- Slots/Stations
- Front Desk
- Cashier
- Players
- Marketing
- Management
6. After assigning the general permissions:
7. Now, there are some features that are not available (those mentioned on the special user permissions topic). Admin should decide which of the special user permissions will be added to this user (manager). As mentioned, we will give all special user permissions, except for the reports permission. To do this, go to "Admin" -> "Users & Permissions" -> "User Permissions" and select the manager user we are creating:
8. Now, Admin should add all the special user permissions. According to our example, only the "Management - Reports" special user permission will not be included:
9. For last, if the manager, with the user we just created for him, tries to access the "Reports" page, here is what happens:
Where are Hot Seats and Jackpot located?
Jackpot and Hot Seat configuration are located at the Marketing module.
User configuration, permissions, and system settings are all located at the Admin module.
Conclusion:
With this feature, the admin user can set up different users with a variety of permissions and special user permissions, according to the location needs.
Cashier, Management, Marketing, Players, Slots, Tables Modules are the ones that can be customized with different combinations of special user permissions.
Side notes:
"Admin" general permission gives access to all other general permissions, without actually adding them explicity to the user.
