Understanding Hot Seat

Objective:

This document will go over and explain the concepts involved in the new Hot Seat interface when following the path: Marketing -> Hot Seat / Hot Tables: 

On the left side, it's possible to see the days from Monday to Sunday. When selecting a new hot, by clicking on '+ Add Hot Seat', a new line with a Hot Seat will rise, as shown below: 



As illustrated there are 13 columns. Each of them is detailed next:

• Remove: click on the red x to exclude the line from the selected day; 
• Enabled: check this box if you want to enable the Hot Seat, otherwise, the system will not consider the line; 
• Run Once: check this box if you only want to this Hot Seat run once. I.e., after the Hot Seat is run, the line will be disabled. 
• Run Now: click on the red arrow to run immediately the Hot Seat promotion configured. Important to highlight that this feature will take into count all the prerequisites. 
• Time: select the time that you want to run the Hot Seat. Important to highlight that you can select the time or type different minutes other than 00 or 30 - for example, 05:57 PM. 
•  Schedule Tolerance: This is the time that is the tolerance to run the promotion. For example, if it's chosen 15 minutes for a Hot Seat scheduled to 05:30 PM, the system will run the promotion randomly for the Hot Seat within 05:30 and 05:45. Important to note that this tolerance is always calculated after the scheduled time. Also, note that you can ignore this tolerance by selecting 'On time. 
• Allow Anonymous: check this box if you want to let no identified players to participate on the Hot Seat promotion.
• Payment Method: There are different methods that you can pay the Hot Seat winner. The first two are by printing either a promotional ticket or a cashable ticket at the cashier. There are three options that you can use to pay on the player's wallet as well - points, promo to Cash. Last, you can transfer the amount to the slot as a bonus.   
• Amount: is the total that you want to transfer to the Hot Seat winner.        
• Minimum Players: it's the number of players required to run award the Hot Seat. For example, if you select 4 players as a minimum and at the moment that the Hot Seat runs there are only 2 players betting, the Hot Seat will not award any players. 
• Minimum Bet: this is the amount that a player has to bet in order to be considered as a relevant player for the Hot Seat promotion. 
• Bet Within: This is the time that a player has to be betting to qualify for the promotion in the moment that the Hot Seat promotion runs. For example, if the Hot Seat runs at 05:30:30 the last bet of the player has to be between 05:00:00 and 05:00:30. 
• Promotional Bet Eligible: If this field is set to 'yes', then the customer will be eligible to win the Hot Seat prize by beating with promotional credits.   
• Groups: The slots and the tables that are relevant to the Hot Seat promotion. 
• Alert Users: Select the users that will be alerted when the Hot Seat was awarded. 
• Alert On No-Hit: Alert the selected users when the Hot Seat was run but not awarded for not completing the configured requisites.  

You can add as many Hot Seats as you want for the day selected. If it is desired to replicate the schedule of one day to another, you can use the copy feature on the left corner.    

Side notes:

How to run Hot Seat for both Tables and Slots?

Normally we suggest having separate Hot Seat setups for tables and slots. The main reason they have widely different HA percentages which generates very different theoretical results.

Hot Seat is a “budget bonus”, and it’s unlikely that the location will have the same budget for both types of players.

The location can set them to prize around the same time if needed. But don’t make the prize window too small or players will end up know when the prize may hit (and only play then, to hit the bonus).

Payment method:

We support sending the credits directly to the slot as the payment method, however, on occasion a slot may reject or simply hold the prize as "pending" for any amount of time. In these scenarios, the system has no control over the payment and discrepancies may occur.
In addition, slots must be "bonus tested" (checkmark on Slot Management") in order to accept direct payment. If a slot is not bonus tested, a ticket will be printed.
For these reasons, we strongly encourage operators to use the "Ticket" payment method.
